Rizatriptan (Maxalt) Administration
Oral Administration
- May be given without regard to food.
- Maxalt® tablets: Swallow whole with liquid.
- Maxalt-MLT™ oral disintegrating tablets: Do not remove from packaging until immediately prior to use. Open packaging with dry hands and place on the tongue where it will dissolve and be swallowed with the saliva. Does not neeed to be taken with fluids. The patient may take with fluids if desired.
- Store at room temperature, 59 - 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C). Protect from light and moisture.
