Olopatadine (Patanol) Indications and Dosage
For the treatment of the signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, including ocular pruritus:
Ophthalmic dosage:
Adults, elderly, adolescents, and children >= 3 years of age: The recommended dose is 1 - 2 drops in each affected eye two times per day at an interval of 6 - 8 hours.
Children < 3 years: Safe and effective use has not been established.
Maximum Dosage Limits:
Adults: 4 drops/day ophthalmic solution in each affected eye.
Elderly: 4 drops/day ophthalmic solution in each affected eye.
Adolescents: 4 drops/day ophthalmic solution each affected eye.
Children >= 3 years: 4 drops/day ophthalmic solution in each affected eye.
Children < 3 years: Safe and effective use has not been established.
Patients with hepatic impairment:
No dosage adjustments are needed.
Patients with renal impairment:
No dosage adjustments are needed.
