Amlodipine (Norvasc) Administration

Oral Administration

• May administer amlodipine without regard to meals. Do not significantly increase grapefruit juice intake while taking this drug, or avoid grapefruit juice if possible.
  
• Oral suspension preparation: An oral 1mg/ml suspension may be prepared by contemporaneously compounding 250 mg amlodipine with 125 ml Ora-Sweet SF™ and 125 ml Oral-Plus®. Store the suspension in a plastic prescription bottle at room temperature (approximately 25 degrees C or 77 degrees F) for up to 56 days. If refrigerated, the suspension is stable for up to 91 days. Shake the suspension before each use.
