Mirtazapine Administration, Monitoring Parameters & Chemical Structure
Oral Administration
- Mirtazapine may be administered without regard to meals.
- Mirtazapine is suitable for once-a-day administration. It should be taken preferably as a single bedtime dose. Daily dose may also be given in equally divided doses (once in the morning and once at bedtime).
- Orally disintegrating tablets (Remeron® SolTab™): Place tablet in mouth on tongue, allow to dissolve, then swallow. SolTabs™ do not need to be administered with water or other liquids, nor do they need to be chewed.
