¿Qué son las tabletas de tegaserod?
El TEGASEROD (Zelnorm®) se usa para el tratamiento del síndrome del intestino irritable (SII) en mujeres cuyo problema intestiñal principal es el estreñimiento. El síndrome del intestino irritable es un trastorno de los intestinos que causa estreñimiento, diarrea o ambos. También pueden presentarse gases, hinchazón y dolor éstomacal. El tegaserod ayuda a aliviar los síntomás del dolor éstomacal, la hinchazón y el estreñimiento, pero no los cura. El tegaserod también puede ser utilizado para aliviar el estreñimiento crónico en pacientes (hombres y mujeres) 65 años de edad ó menos. Su proveedor de atención médica puede usar tegaserod para otras enfermedades además del SII. No hay tabletas genéricas de tegaserod disponibles.

Tegaserod (Zelnorm) tablets
What are tegaserod tablets?
TEGASEROD (Zelnorm®) is used to treat women who have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and who have constipation as their main bowel problem. IBS is a disorder of the intestines that causes constipation, diarrhea, or both. Gas, bloating and stomach pain may also be present. Tegaserod (Zelnorm) helps to relieve the symptoms of stomach pain, bloating and constipation; it is not a cure. Tegaserod (Zelnorm) may also be used for relief of chronic constipation in patients (men and women) less than 65 years of age. Your health care provider may use tegaserod for other conditions. Generic tegaserod tablets are not available.
